The combination is read as intensifying Mars’s difficult qualities. Rahu is treated in classical practice as an amplifier without judgement, and pairing it with an already-hot planet is held to produce impulsiveness, accidents, sudden anger, and disputes — particularly around property and inheritance.
Does Ketu count as well as Rahu?
Traditions differ. Some restrict Angarak Dosha to Mars with Rahu specifically; others include Mars with Ketu on the grounds that both are shadow points of the same axis. Where a source does not say which it means, it usually means Rahu.
