What is Anshik Manglik?

What is the Lagna?
The Lagna (Ascendant) is the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the exact moment and place of birth, the most personal reference point in a chart and the first of the three positions checked for Mangal Dosha.
Why does the Lagna carry the most weight?
Because it is the most personal point in the chart — it depends on the exact moment and place of birth rather than on a slower-moving planet. Our scoring weights it at 50%, against 30% for the Moon and 20% for Venus.
What is the Chandra Lagna?
The Chandra Lagna (Moon Ascendant) is the Moon’s sign, treated as a second “ascendant” for house counting, checked because the Moon represents the mind and emotional life.
What is the Shukra Lagna?
The Shukra Lagna (Venus Ascendant) is Venus’s sign, used the same way as the Chandra Lagna, checked because Venus governs relationships and marriage specifically.
What are whole-sign houses?

What is the difference between Manglik and Mangal Dosha? None. Manglik describes a person carrying Mangal Dosha.
What does Anshik mean? Partial. It describes a dosha triggering from one or two of the three reference points rather than all three.

What is the difference between status and severity? Status counts how many of the three reference points trigger — Manglik, Partial, or Non-Manglik. Severity weighs which houses are involved and applies cancellation. They can disagree, and the severity figure carries more information.
What does Dosha Bhanga mean? The classical term for cancellation — the conditions under which a dosha is held not to apply at full force. Our ten rules implement it.
What is an amplifier? A factor that increases the raw score before cancellation, such as a Saturn aspect or a Rahu conjunction with Mars. Amplifiers never create a dosha on their own.
