Privacy Policy: Birth Data, Storage, Sharing, and Your Rights

This site asks for a date, time and place of birth in order to calculate a chart. That is sensitive information, and this page states plainly what happens to it. It is written to be read rather than to satisfy a checklist.

What data does this site collect?

Three things, and only when you choose to submit them: a date of birth, a time of birth, and a place of birth. Nothing else is required to produce a Mangal Dosha result.

If you purchase a report, a payment processor also collects the details needed to take payment. Those are handled by the processor and are described in their own policy.

Is an account required?

No. The free calculator works without registration, and no email address is needed to see a result.

Is birth data used to identify you?

No. A birth date, time and place are used as inputs to an astronomical calculation and are not cross-referenced against any identity database or advertising profile.

How long is birth data kept?

Free calculations are computed and returned without being written to long-term storage. Where a purchased report exists, the birth details are retained for as long as needed to let you re-download that report, and no longer.

If you want data associated with a purchase deleted, ask and it will be deleted. That request does not have to be justified.

Is birth data sold or shared?

No. Birth details are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing, profiling, or advertising. This is the commitment that matters most on a site of this kind, and it is not qualified anywhere else in this document.

Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the site — hosting and payment processing — and only to the extent those services require to function.

What about analytics?

Aggregate traffic analytics record which pages are visited. They do not receive birth details, and they are not linked to any chart you calculate.

What are your rights?

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Depending on where you live these may be legal rights under GDPR, the DPDP Act, or comparable legislation; this site honours them regardless of which apply to you.

Requests are answered through the contact route published on the about page.

Where else is the site’s position documented?

About this site covers who runs it and what it does not claim to do. Our methodology documents the calculation itself, including how much birth-time precision it actually needs.

Frequently asked questions

Do you store my birth time? Only where a purchased report exists that you may want to re-download. Free calculations are not retained.

Can I use the calculator without giving a real birth time? Yes, though the result will be less reliable. A wrong birth time can move the Ascendant into a different sign, which changes the reading — our methodology explains the tolerance.

Do you sell birth data to matchmaking services? No. Birth data is never sold or shared for marketing to anyone, matchmakers included.

Do you use cookies? Only those needed for the site to function and for aggregate analytics. No advertising cookies are set.

How do I have my data deleted? Ask through the contact route on the about page. No justification is needed.

Who is responsible for this site’s data handling? The site operator, identified on the about page.

Where to go next

Our methodology documents the calculation in full — ephemeris, ayanamsa, house system, the ten rules and the scoring decisions that are ours rather than classical. why calculators disagree explains why another site may disagree with us, and what the evidence supports separates what is astronomically verifiable here from what is traditional interpretation.
