Two of the three reference points depend on the birth time. The Lagna changes sign every 80 to 145 minutes depending on latitude and rising sign, and the Moon moves roughly one sign every two and a quarter days. Venus and Mars are effectively stable across a day. So a birth-time error large enough to shift the Ascendant can turn a Non-Manglik result into an Anshik one, or the reverse.
The result flags this directly when the Ascendant or Mars sits within about 0.75° of a sign boundary. If your result carries that flag, the Non-Manglik reading is conditional on the recorded time being right — worth confirming against a birth certificate or hospital record before relying on it in a matching conversation.
When is a clear result worth rechecking?
When Mars sits just outside a trigger house from the Ascendant and the birth time is approximate. The Ascendant carries 50% of the weight, so a shifted Lagna can change the verdict on its own. Charts within 0.75° of a sign boundary are flagged in every result.
